Workshop

What have we lost when the individual has won?

April 7- 2026 at 18h30

France- Metz – Borny

This workshop offers a time for collective exploration combining movement and exchange, to question individualism in today’s society and the feelings of disconnection and non-belonging that it can generate.

How can bodily experience be linked to broader questions of community, individuality, and belonging? Participants are invited to experience their body’s movements through distance, synchronization, hesitation, and withdrawal within a shared space. Without physical contact and without a personal narrative to share, the body is considered as a social presence rather than an intimate story.

Created by Mohammed Al Qudwa in collaboration with Brazilian director Martha Kiss Perrone, the performance weaves together theatre, movement, and karate to reflect on war, memory, and the body as a living archive. Presented as a work in progress, the piece continues its artistic journey through an urgent dialogue between poetry, identity, and collective history.

Body Theatre on Violence

The biggest thing happening now is putting our bodies in a graveyard because we believe they cannot do anything.
The truth is that impotence lies in our minds, not in our bodies.
